EUSDR 8th Annual Forum - B2B Sessions

As a key event of the 2019 EUSDR Presidency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania jointly with the European Commission and the Danube Transnational Program, are organizing the 8th Annual Forum between 27- 28 of June 2019 in Bucharest (Palace of Parliament), under the motto: “Building cohesion for a shared prosperity in the Danube Region” http://suerd.gov.ro/en/.

The 8th Annual Forum will cover topics of particular importance for the Danube region: connectivity and regional mobility, fostering clusters development, including digitalization, people to people links and tourism. The second day of the Forum will be dedicated to post-2020 EU policy design, with a focus on the role of Interreg DTP and of ESI Funds for the region. An emphasis will be placed on the possibilities of creating better synergies between macro-regional strategies and EU programs and policies in the framework of the new Cohesion Policy. Discussions over new opportunities for enhancing funding for macro-regional strategies will also feature in the program prominently.

1. The Public Hearings Workshop and the dedicated session about the revision of the EUSDR Action Plan will allow stakeholders to take stock of the ongoing progress and at the same time become involved more in shaping the Strategy’s future by sharing concrete proposals for the final stage of EUSDR’s Action Plan Revision.

2. The Forum will be preceded by a Ministerial meeting that will take place in the morning of the 27th of June, allowing the Ministers in charge of Economic Affairs from the EUSDR participating countries to share views and provide strategic guidance for enhancing competitiveness and economic convergence in the Danube region.

3. The Ministry for Business Environment, Commerce and Entrepreneurship of Romania will organize, throughout the duration of this event, an exhibition dedicated to promoting the best practices & success stories of transnational cooperation in the Danube Regio.

4. Business to Business (B2B) sessions will be organized for the first time within an Annual EUSDR Forum by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and regional partners, represented by the Romanian Association for Electronic and Software Industry (ARIES) and the European Commission/ DG GROW.

The 8th EUSDR Annual Forum will continue the tradition of bringing together a balanced number of high level officials and independent civil society experts from both the EU and non-EU countries sharing their expertise on current developments that could impact the Danube region.

The area covered by the EUSDR comprises 9 EU countries (Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany - Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria-, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia) and 5 non-EU countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine - four provinces: Chernivetska Oblast, Ivano-Frankiviska Oblast, Zakarpatska Oblast and Odessa Oblast).

International matchmaking at GIFA 2019

GIFA (Foundry Trade Fair) is the leading international trade fair for foundry technology. Since 1956 it takes place in Düsseldorf every four years.

In addition to foundry equipment and other machinery and equipment for foundry equipment, the exhibition also includes measuring instruments, control technology, refractory material, foundry chemistry, machines and tools for forming and core production and model and mold making, gate and feeder technology, and raw casting aftertreatment through to conveyor and storage technology ,

2019 B2B matchmaking event in MEDICAL TAIWAN

Enterprise Europe Network Taiwan is hosting a business-to-business (B2B) brokerage event on 27 June 2019, followed by a seminar on 28 June, 2019. These events will take place during the Taiwan International Medical and Healthcare Exhibition Show in Taipei.

The largest of its kind in Taiwan’s medical industry, the show will take place 27-30 June at the Taipei World Trade Centre Exhibition Hall 1 (TWTC).

SMILE2MATCH: Matchmaking event on Smart Islands Energy System.

Inhabited EU islands are often well placed to employ innovative solutions and attract energy investments that integrate local renewable production, storage facilities and demand response in order to achieve interoperable, economic, environmentally friendly and sustainable energy systems, to implement the key priorities of the Clean Energy for all Europeans package.

In order to further promote and support tailor-made clean energy transitions for islands the SMILE2MATCH event is jointly organised by the Smart Island Energy System (SMILE) project partners (https://www.h2020smile.eu/) and the Enterprise Europe Network, bringing together business, research and government active and dealing with the creation of sustainable islands.

Company mission addressed to the automotive industry, targeting the cluster organizations in the area of Daimler production site in Kecskemet, Hungary.

The main organizations targeted are HÍRÖS Supplier Cluster and MIENK cluster. Since the end of November 2013, HÍRÖS Supplier Cluster has possessed the title “Accredited Innovation Cluster” and has joined 22 accredited domestic innovation centers.

FIVEbio Tour. The Organic Wine Fair International Inward trade mission to Navarre (Spain)

AIN collaborates with Government of Navarre, ReynoGourmet certification (Navarre’s Institute of Agrifood Technology and Infraestructures), and CPAEN-NNPEK (Council of the ecological agrarian production of Navarre) in the organisation of the FIVEbio Tour 2019 (https://www.five-bio.com/en/) The FIVEbio Tour is an inward trade mission in the Organic Wine sector to Navarre that will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of September and is open to importers and distributors worldwide. The Enterprise Europe Network will help in the dissemination of the event amongst distributors and importers aiming to achieve a high level of participants.

The quality of the Navarrese organic wine is identified under the regional organic standards of the Autonomous Region of Navarre with wines included in the Designation of Origin D.O. Navarre and D.O La Rioja. A small number of other Spanish D.O. will be also shown during the tour (to be confirmed in the following days).
The dates, 2nd and 3rd September have been carefully chosen in order to allow visitors to feel, smell, touch the vines right before the “vendimia-vintage” when grapes are harvested.
International distributors and importers will be treated as guests in our region and will be invited to visit 4 different wineries and meet there 15 different organic Spanish wines in each. Guests are expected to arrive to Pamplona on Sunday 1st September and will be received with an official welcome dinner. The visitors will be hosted at AC Ciudad de Pamplona from where they will depart each day. The trips will last from 30 to 40 minutes at the most and they will be able to meet with around 60 wineries. Gastronomy will also be part of this discovery trip. Lunches and dinners will consist of local organic food and will take place in the wineries.
Travel, accommodations and subsistence expenses for importers and distributors are 100% funded by organisers.

3rd Belgrade Horizon Business & Innovation Fair including Matchmaking Event

Enterprise Europe Network Serbia with the support of its West Balkan regional partners and the Innovation Centre of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering invites entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, and scientific institutions to participate in the 3rd Belgrade Horizon Business & Innovation Fair which includes Info-session, Exhibition, and Matchmaking devoted to support to access for financing of innovation, internationalization, and impact on start-ups and innovators of transition from Horizon 2020 to Horizon Europe - the current and coming EU Framework Programmes for Research and Innovation on September 10th, 2019.

Since the meeting is preceding Regional Conference of Enterprise Europe Network large attendance of participants and technology brokers from Slovenia, Croatia, North Macedonia, Bosnia-Hercegovina, and Montenegro is expected. B2B meetings at EMO Hanover 2019

EMO Hannover is the world's largest and leading fair of the metal sector. September 16-20th, 2019, the Enterprise Europe Network is organising the 4th matchmaking event at EMO in Hanover.

Decisionmakers from around the world are present at the fair, making it the place to be for anybody from the world of metalworking to find out about new technologies and market opportunities.

The last fair in 2017 in Hanover was attended by 2,200 exhibitors and 129,000 visitors from over 160 countries.

The last Enterprise Europe Network Matchmaking event had 298 participants from 25 countries.

Main focus of the fair:

Polish ICT company mission to DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival

The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) organises a delegation of Polish ICT companies to attend the DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival.

The festival will take place on September 16-19, 2019. It is one of the leading events for startups and investors. More about the festival: www.dldtelaviv.com.

The aim of the mission is to facilitate cooperation of Polish ICT companies, including startups, with potential business and technology partners from Israel and other countries.

Shipping of samples: July - September 2019, one freight forwarder for shipping, customs clearing and storage, with a negotiated rate will be proposed to the invited companies.

Own promotional material: It is mandatory for participants to bring their own promotional material, e.g. video / presentation files, brochures, booklets, handouts, branded give-aways, etc. However, as storage space is limited, please optimize the number of brochures shipped to the stand. Roll-ups related to the EU quality labels and GIs will be supplied by the European Commission. A flat screen displaying the videos will be installed in the Pavilion. Short videos can be displayed at flat screen TVs at the Pavilion. Further details will be shared upon your selection.

VII International Wine Business Meetings. Germany & Netherlands - Spain.

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Valls (Catalonia, Spain) under the Internationalisation Plan of Catalan companies and in cooperation with German and Netherlands EEN partners are organizing an inverse trade mission in Valls (Catalonia).

The inverse trade mission will take place on September 26 to 27th, 2019 and during the mission, Catalan German and Dutch companies will have the opportunity to establish cross-border contacts for future co-operations through pre-arranged meetings/agendas.

Methodology: The Catalan wine cellars interested in introducing their products in the German and Dutch market and German/Dutch distributors/importers interested in Catalan wine cellars should fill out a registration form and send Valls Chamber of Commerce a corporate presentation and an English catalogue of their products and their preferences.

The Chamber of Commerce of Valls(In House Consultant of Catalan Consortium) has been working looking for German and Netherlands importers and distributors in order to make a final selection of buyers that they will invite for the business meetings that it will celebrate in Valls (Catalonia, Spain). Once selected, the Chamber of Commerce sent the Catalan companies a list of companies that will visit Catalonia and subsequently it will prepare the agendas containing.

Moreover, after the meetings the German and Dutch importers will be able to visit those wineries that have attracted the most interest.

Biotech Cluster and SME Mission 2019

Following the successful results from the previous years, the EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising the 7th edition of the cluster and SMEs match-making mission in the Biotechnology sector. This mission aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The mission will give EU SMEs the opportunity to enter the Japanese market and establish technology or business partnerships and therefore increase their innovation capacity and make them more competitive on the global scale. The mission will also contribute to improve the cooperation strategies between EU and Japanese clusters.

The Biotech Cluster/SME mission coincides with the “BioJapan” Expo in Yokohama (http://www.ics-expo.jp/biojapan/en/). During the fair (3 days) participants will attend showcase sessions and B2B meetings and meet with Japanese visitors. In order to maximize participants' partnering opportuni­ties, participants will be able to exhibit in the EU Delegation booth.

Additionally, a partnering event will be organized one day before the fair, in Osaka.

Brokerage event at the European Biotech and Pharma Partnering Conference 2019 in Osaka, Japan

The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation as the partner of Enterprise Europe Network in Japan, is organising a Brokerage Event in Biotech and Pharma sectors, which will take place on 8 October 2019 in Osaka, Japan.

Being Japan’s second largest city, Osaka is a major economic centre for Biotech and Pharma industry in Japan and hosts several biotech clusters. Historically, a large number of pharmaceutical companies have been concentrated in Osaka. Nowadays, bio-related pharmaceutical companies, food manufacturers and their surrounding companies, including chemical and medical equipment companies are accumulated around Osaka and forming clusters.

During the event, business representatives of EU companies will have an opportunity to attend pre-arranged B2B meetings with Japanese companies from the Kansai region. The event serves a perfect platform to meet representatives of Japanese companies and accelerate opportunities for potential business partnerships between EU and Japanese companies. The event will kick off with an opening speech at 9 AM and the B2B meetings will take place shortly after (from 9:20 PM to 4:00 PM).

Horizon 2020 for the Circular Economy and Transforming Industry

NCPs CaRE, NMP Team and the Enterprise Europe Network are joining forces to organise a Brokerage event on 9th October 2019 on “Horizon 2020 for the Circular Economy and Transforming Industry”. NCPs CaRE is the network of NCP for Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 5 “Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials. NMP Team is the Network of NCPs for Industrial Leadership KET Part (Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing) of the HORIZON 2020 Framework Programme. Circular Economy is currently a focus area of Horizon 2020 calls transversal to several calls.

The purpose of the event will be to bring together potential applicants for Horizon 2020 calls related to the Circular Economy to help them build consortium and develop their proposals. The event is notably targeting participants from Eastern and Central European Countries and from the European Neighbourhood Policy Countries to foster international cooperation, but participants from all countries are welcome: Horizon 2020 is “Open to the world”!

The Brokerage event will be preceded by keynote speeches, advises by the European Commission and presentations of the Horizon 2020 calls by National Contact Points.

EEN Network partners should encourage their clients interesting in Horizon 2020 calls to learn more about the calls and to participate to join wining consortia.

The 14th EU-China Business & Technology Cooperation Fair (Chengdu)

The EU-China Business & Technology Cooperation Fair has been held for 13 editions with a wide variety of participants including over 250 government organizations, universities, scientific research institutions, 3,960 European companies and 7,480 Chinese counterparts. Training on Japanese manufacturing methodologies - November 2019

Since the first edition in 1992, more than 700 participants from across all EU Member states have participated in this practical training course managed by the EU-Japan Centre.

The 5-day World Class Manufacturing training mission provides an in-depth analysis of Japanese manufacturing methodology such as Lean, Kaizen, TQC ...)

STRUCTURE OF THE TRAINING

The training course consists of lectures, workshops and visits to some of the world’s most advanced Japanese factories in order to understand the real "Gemba" (production site), talk directly with their production managers and observe the effective implementation of manufacturing methods.This course will give its participants a detailed understanding of current Japanese approaches that they can adapt to help their companies lean journeys.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE

The training targets EU managers, working in EU companies, with knowledge of WCM and an engineering background, deal participants have an important strategic role in shaping the company's best practice strategy or can influence the company's management of quality control / best practice / production systems.

The sector of activity is unimportant since the themes covered are equally applicable in non-manufacturing industries.

ICT Cluster and SME Mission 2019

The EU-Japan Centre, Enterprise Europe Network representative for Japan, is organising, for the fourth time, a cluster match-making mission in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector.

This mission is aimed to support EU cluster organisations and their SME members in their efforts to access global value chains and develop strategic worldwide partnerships and business cooperation.

The mission will be organised on the fringe of Embedded Technology & IoT Technology 2019 in Yokohama. During the fair (3 days) participants will attend B2B meetings and meet with Japanese visitors.
